Brian Popiel created Arête Builders in 2006, as a vehicle to do remodeling projects for friends, while he was working full time as a carpenter for some of the finest builders in the Gallatin Valley.  In 2007, ready to take on the challenge of managing home building projects from beginning to end, Brian expanded the company to include general contracting, with a focus on building high quality homes for all different budgets.

Since that time, in addition to building houses, Arête has remained involved with remodels and repairs.   Whether new or existing, our projects share an attention to detail, unique touches, and an emphasis on energy performance.  We approach these projects with the artistic hands of the craftsman and the critical eyes of the scientist, seeking to reach the highest levels both in appearance and performance.
